The power of Employproject.org is in the private site management. In fact, by a multi levels access-restricted management, this web site allows to registered users to manage, via http protocol, all site's dynamic content.
There are 3 kinds of users:

• anonymous users: users that visits the site and see only the public area
• administrator users: users that can manage and maintain completely all the site dynamic data
• registered users: users that can entry in the private area and manage owns personal information and send contribution and file documents

Some of many available actions of the administrator users:

• creation/update of users lists and news
• creation/management of meetings, conferences and mailing list
• upload and deleting of attached documents etc...

This kind of web Project satisfy completely the needs of international consortia, also from different countries, allowing an easy exchange of information and automates all the phases of site management, making it user-friendly also for non expert users.

Technical Approach

Employproject.org is built on a Microsoft platform. The main technologies involved are listed hereafter:

• MS Windows NT / 2000 Server - Operative System that provide secure communications, applications hosting, easy resources management and files and directories services
• MS Internet Information Server - Web services, FTP, SMTP and Active Server Pages (ASP) that provide an integration for data services
• MS ActiveX Data Objects (ADO) - high quality object-oriented service that allows the access to all data in according to OLE DB and ODBC standard
• Object Linking and Embedding DataBase (OLE DB) - provides a service to access to all kind of data archives and to visualize the requested data in a standard table format
