Among natural disasters earthquakes represent the phenomenon causing the major number of fatalities. Damages in the zones close to the epicenter frequently are above tens of billions of USD. The proper estimation of possible seismic loading is therefore a task of extreme importance, both for scopes of seismic zoning and for the design of industrial facilities as well.

WINSIMUL has been made in the 1999 but, now is not longer available. In the 2001 Mestor has realized ShakyGround, a new version of WinSimul with some improvements of the GUI and the earthquake simulation module.
